page views: Beyond power generation and automotive fuels, the shift toward biomass for industrial heating (steam)—replacing coal or oil—is becoming a powerful tool for enterprises to cut costs and boost efficiency.
Multi-Million Savings for a Rubber Factory
At the recent ASEAN Biomass Energy Exhibition, a Chinese company presented a compelling case study from Malaysia. A local rubber industry giant implemented a biomass gasification heating system, substituting diesel with wood chips.
The Results
The outcome was twofold: not only were carbon emissions drastically reduced, but the company also achieved annual cost savings exceeding 10 million Malaysian Ringgit (approximately 17.3 million RMB).
Technical Highlights
The system is capable of processing wood chips and palm shells with high moisture content. This enables "local sourcing" of fuel, effectively solving the logistical challenge and high costs associated with transporting raw materials.
